This is the next phase of the Thames Water roadworks and will I’m sure be the most impacting as it effectively closes the road between Chieveley and Peasemore and means all traffic will have to go via Hill Green, Past the crab and into Chieveley via School Road.

Mud Lane to Old Street in the Parish of Peasemore will be closed from the 1st July to 5th August 2024, the closure is expected to be between its junction with Unnamed Road from Princes Lane to Mud Lane and its junction with Beedon Common Road.

“5th July you may want to just close the curtains because I think the A34 is also shut that day, it will be carnage! – Ed”

Please note – This road will be re-opened on the 4th July  (closed again from the 5th July) for access to the nearby polling station.

Residential access will be maintained throughout, and the diversion will be signed on site.

The purpose of this closure is for Thames Water to carry out network renewal and disconnection works.

Please Note: Blue light access will be available throughout.

All enquiries should be directed to: Morrison Water Services on 08003 169 800
