The Parish Council is responsible for

  • The Village Green and Playground upkeep
  • Management of The Village Hall
  • Management of the Pavilion
  • Management of Parish Land
  • Management of the Village Salt Bins and the Street Bins
  • Sharing Communications from the District Council with Parishioners
  • A single voice on planning applications, helping to raise local matters that the Planning Officer may not be aware of.
  • Helping to raise parish issues with the District Council – such as highways matters, public transport, communicating rights of way issues.

The Parish Plan is a very useful document to assist the Parish Council managing priorities in the village.

Within the village we benefit from a pro-active Peasemore Committee

The Peasemore Committee is a social and fund-raising committee separate from the Parish Council. The committee arranges and facilitates events in the village and raising funds to support charities and also to provide facilities in the village as well as providing support to maintenance/enhancement on some village buildings such as the church, pavilion and village hall. A member of the Parish Council sits on the Committee too to assist in communication between the two.
