Peasemore reportedly hosted the first primitive Methodist Chapel in Berkshire which was built in 1831

The Wiltshire Mission resolved to extend their mission into Berkshire in 1829, the first missioner being Rev Thomas Russell who met with great success.  The first chapel, Peasemore, was built in 1831.
